In this exclusive concert especially prepared for Hermanus FynArts, Bridget Rennie – Salonen and James Grace, two of South Africa’s leading performing artists, blend the combined sounds of flute and guitar together in an exciting display of virtuosity and refined musicianship.

In addition to works by the Italian composers Guiliani and Castelnuovo-Tedesco, the programme features a strong Latin element with compositions by the Brazilian Celso Machado, in addition to Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla’s celebrated Histoire du Tango – a multi movement work documenting the musical development of this universally appealing dance form.
Grace will also feature a medley of Spanish works for solo guitar from his recent SAMA – winning album Andaluza – Music of Spain III.
