Melvyn Minnaar is an art and wine writer. His love affair with both goes back decades to adventurous student days in Stellenbosch.

Melvyn grew up in Hermanus, when it was a romantic small town, there was not a wine grape in anywhere near, but artists, famous and otherwise, came to paint the sea and sights even then.
He has been involved with matters cultural for decades, as organiser and manager, and as writer and commentator. The exciting world of the arts and the thrilling one of wine meet naturally in his life’s endeavours.
